With no Republican in the race, I would bet that Trump endorses Cuomo, probably speaking of their past conflicts, but the need to avoid electing Mamdani.

Like you, I doubt just Adams or both results in a clear path for Cuomo. I assume many Republicans stay home.

As far as Adams goes, we KNOW he is corrupt, however he needs to get confirmed. I suspect that Trump is really offering him nothing. It is already September. Let's say Trump nominates him this week on Trump's condition he immediately resigns. There is no way the hearings are before October. I seriously doubt any Democrat will vote to confirm and I would imagine that a corrupt Democrat is a step too far for at least enough Republicans.

If Trump offers a position that does not need confirmation, it would be more real
