5. Tariffs throttle economic activity.

Contraction in one sector due to increase prices and uncertainty have a compounding effect as they flow on into the economy.
Wallets get closed in uncertain economic times anyway, even without additional taxation . . . oops, I meant tariffs.

For every dollar paid in tariff, some American consumer is out of pocket by one dollar.
The effect can be so drastic some businesses will be non-viable.
With flow on effects as far as employment goes.

Think about it.

Trump has the reverse Midas touch, and no one wants to tell him.
