While no one wants to see homeless people or worry about getting accosted or worse for money to feed someone's habit, pushing these folks elsewhere does not help the root problem. And even if you throw them in jail it just kicks the can down the road. Like wanting to re-shore manufacturing without actually setting up policies and programs put in place ahead of time to support that and just tossing out random tariffs and hoping for the best, it's just a pretend solution to look like you are doing something. It's all just reality TV.
