There is a lot we are taught that we forget.

I couldn't help our daughters do remedial algebra after having advanced way past that in HS, and now couldn't name most state capitals after having to remember all 50 in middle school.

Now most of us here are 1) truly concerned about our country 2) somehow are immune to right wing bullship brainwashing, so we are readily aware of these things.

But the issue isn't "education." The issue is there has long been a purposeful right wing propaganda campaign to demagogue "the left" that somehow about half the country is succepeptabe to buying into.

The "red scare" isn't anything new, it was all the rage in 50s and 60s. The problem is despite how clearly apparent it is that this is put out to manipulate people, way to many of our family, friends and neighbors build their entire world view and identity around it.
