Saudis have a very modern military and can also hit shipping in the Strait.

That said, Krasnov has incinerated American credibility, and the Gulf States are better off cutting their own deal. Iran is a failing state and there is no reason for the Gulf States to fight when time is their friend.

If oil settles in the $50’s or $40’s, Iran is screwed. Their fiscal cost is over $120/barrel, and the regime is corrupt to the core so the economy will always suck with them in charge.
