Senator Cassidy was right the first time... [View all]

Not when he went groveling back to Trump.

When he voted to give the War Powers Act back to Congress, that was the right decision. Because Trump has gotten us into a war where there is no honorable exit. It was an unjustified and unnecessary war.

Cassidy's vote and the others that voted to take some war powers from the Presidency was the only way to escape this trap that Trump has led the country into. Trump will double down, as soon as more bombs are built. Nothing good will come from Trump's war mongering. He is not a great tactician or a great thinker. His decisions will lead to ruin.

So Cassidy and Rand Paul went crawling back to the White House because they did not want to take war powers away from the President. Couldn't they make an exception just this one time?

It would have been better for the country. Ironically, it would have better for the Republicans, and better for Donald Trump, if they had ended the war and brought our troops home.
