(54,553 posts)59. Sometimes when I park in a lot I'll walk by one of the giant pickup trucks and the tailgate will by as high
as I am. I would need a stepladder to get in the thing and then I'd feel like a tractor-trailer driver. I also don't get all the super high tech stuff in all new vehicles. I can't imagine it isn't causing more accidents when you have to take your eyes off the road for even a second to control something via a computer screen. I would love to buy a new car, but I don't want a smart phone on wheels.

Semis are mostly on freeways and industrial areas, not many pedestrians crossing streets in front of them.
