(1,537 posts)103. What's supposed to be the issue on transgender children?
That he's for/against them? That they should/shouldn't exist? What needs to stop is allowing the right-wing to use transgenderism and the issues surrounding it as political fodder. Despite the idiocy of the statement, no one is going to school in the morning as a boy and coming back home in the afternoon as a girl. Democrats should talk about what they know (which likely isn't much, since most people don't) when it comes to transgenderism: it's a personal choice made between patients, doctors, and families. There is no large number of transgender athletes in colleges and high schools, and when it comes to sports, we should be concerned with fairness for all involved.

He doesn't need to. He needs to turn every question about trans into an attack on Paxton & their failed policies

Talarico knows that the only way that Paxton can win is to focus on cultural issues.

People who advocate for culture war battles on behalf of Dems don't care about winning elections.

We need to win elections. We can fight bigotry and still not take the bait during campaigns.

So, you're saying that our party's nominee is dumb? That he's a coward? That he's "toast"?

It's more important to win than to be perfect. Pointing out things like this...
