When I had my hour with Obama in 2012, and we briefly discussed the Egyptian economy, I took a slip of paper and wrote on it full bellies tend not to start fights and gave it to him. He read it, his eyebrows went up, and he nodded and put it in his pocket.

My credit cards were both up to the limit. I had to take money out of my now very meager retirement account.
