The liver is the deadliest of deadly poisons. Only skilled "master sushi chefs" can prepare blowfish in a way that won't kill diners.

In Japan, there are "thrill seekers" who do things like touch the tip of their tongue to a piece of blowfish liver (it reportedly stings like a mo-fo, thus providing the thrill).

And, some get a little carried away and end up on a slab in the morgue.

That's my metaphor for what Republicans are doing right now. I agree with you 100% ... "they are certain the ballroom, the war and the slush fund will weaken their odds in the midterms..." And I honestly believe that in the face of all of that, they are STILL running down the list of "WHAT IF's."

Because if they weren't, they would have told Grampy to ram it where the sun doesn't shine BEFORE going on recess.

They're kicking the can down the road. I go back to my original point. They're getting increasingly agitated, but no one of any significance is going to jump ship in the next month.

Trump "demanded" that this should all happen before June 1. That's their first day back. It won't happen on June 1. And Grampy will rage-tweet between now and then, and make "primary" threats to the "RINO's," and then we'll see if they're ready to sign the divorce papers.
