7. The author isn't presenting the data accurately

Given the demographics of college students, particularly those doing the protest encampments, pretending that none of the campus antisemitism is from leftists doesn't pass the laugh test. We know many of the campus protestors identified as eco-socialists, anti racist, anti colonialism. Those are left wing positions.

Then there's that when I use the heat map he links to, it doesn't match what he says and shows. When I filter to just Left Wing and Islamist, there's 205 incidents over the dataset. And the total number isn't 40,180, if I select all types, it's 31,988, but if I clear all filters of ideology type (right wing 3 varieties, left wing, Islamic, unknown, Other), the total jumps to 67,810 over 2002-2025. So something with the dataset is wonky. They've also added some from 2026 but I left that out to keep my comparison the same. So there's 27,700 incidents over the data set he isn't including that aren't categorized.

Also it's not accurate that he lumps Other and Unknown into right wing given there are categories for those.

If I look at just 2025 data, the report when the 7 ideology types, I get 705 incidents but if I deselect all types, there's the 6,542 the report mentions.

The FAQ isn't helpful to explain the missing information, so my guess (and it's just a guess) is that the ideology type is only applied if someone is arrested or interacts with the police. Looking at the list view for example an anonymous bomb threat can't really be categorized if no one is charged. I'm not sure why that wouldn't go under Unknown or Other, but it's not.
