As we have seen in just the past week or two, multiple threads on staged assassination attempts and 2024 Election Denialism have amplified those kooky CT theories and have risen to the top of the Greatest Page, quoting various clickbait merchants as authoritative sources.

If we cannot agree on a fact and evidence-based shared reality, it becomes difficult if not impossible to maintain democracy and a free society.

And that’s exactly what the oligarchs want- an undereducated populace that lacks critical thinking skills and trusts nothing except the “vibes” that feel true to them. Such a populace is easily distracted and manipulated, becoming polarized, disorganized and unable to mount any effective resistance.
