What's wrong with trying to distill a complex message down to a soundbite? Tax cuts don't matter if you don't have a job. I saw that bumper sticker back in the Bush years, but never anything half as clever from the DNC. If we're the smart party we should do a better job of marketing. I am really disappointed with the Party right now & almost believe they'd rather be out of power so they have an excuse why they can't do anything. Earlier this year I counted the congressional dems that I was aware of speaking out against what's going on on a regular basis & it was about 10% of our members. I realize they don't have the numbers, but damnit, they have a voice! Chris Murphy calls this a 5-alarm fire & he's right, but the dem response has been like a few embers popped out of the fireplace.
