When Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav and his radical right billionaire boy pal John Malone, who run CNN, made their initial major swing to the right, they installed sacrificial lamb Chris Licht to carry out their orders.

ONE of those orders was THEIR "brainchild," the "Trump Town Hall," an unmitigated disaster. Licht was fired very shortly after it aired. The impression was that it was his brainchild, and not a colossal F-up by Zaslav and Malone. That's the impression they wanted.

Same thing's happening with Weiss. She'll be blamed. The Ellisons will not. That's the way THEY'RE planning it.
