8. I'm afraid Black voters might sit out on the midterms.

It was apparent, like in 2024, Black folks felt they were largely unsupported in the vote. And those results yielded negative effects on voting rights, civil rights, jobs, health care, education, and infrastructure. I think they don’t trust the rest of the US to fight back.

And I am old enough to remember voter suppression prior to the VRA. What’s the incentive to go out and vote if it’s likely their vote will be suppressed? Safer to sit this one out.
