2. How many on this board remember when Sinema was sworn in?

That she was the first openly female bisexual member of the Senate and that she did NOT swear in on a bible, but on copies of both the US Constitution and the State of Arizona constitution.

DU absolutely LOVED her for that.

I remember it very clearly.

There was thread after thread that lauded her for her positions and that she was an ally of the LGBTQ community.

But it didn't really pan out, did it?

Someone clearly got to her just as they got to many others that reach that level with high intentions and go the other way, to wit John Fetterman.

"Look, just vote the way we tell you, have one term in the senate, maybe two and you and your family will never have to worry about money for the rest of your life."

That's a pretty compelling sales pitch.

And that's the government we have allowed to exist forever.
