I would be less inclined to vote for a candidate who supported the gimmick of eliminating taxes on tips and overtime. Doing so encourages fighting amongst ourselves for scraps and removes the important voices of tipped workers and overtime workers for tax reform for all lower and middle income workers - since they already got theirs (and didn't want to rock the boat and have it taken away).
