1. I hate to quibble but those look like ads to me

And all newspapers/media outlets “publish” ad slop. I read the guy’s article but I’m not convinced these are anything except sponsored “articles” like you find everywhere and live to hate.

On further thought: The story probably is that the existence of gambling ads/slop has risen exponentially, not that “legit” outlets are running them.
