The shooting was reported around 11:24 a.m. inside the Smith's Food & Drug in the 9700 block of S. Maryland Parkway, near Silverado Ranch Boulevard, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD) said in an email.

Two victims in their mid-40's, a male and a female, were found with apparent gunshot wounds. LVMPD said they were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say at least 3 bystanders took down the suspect. Police say there is no threat to the public.
