The “fled to Costa Rica” claim stems from a public feud with activist Laura Loomer. On May 11, 2026, Loomer reposted one of MTG’s vacation photos (showing a tropical view) and alleged—citing unnamed “sources”—that Greene had bought a $5 million mansion in Costa Rica (allegedly in 2024 via insider trading) and permanently relocated there after selling her Georgia home. Loomer has repeated similar claims before. msn.com
