8. Absolutely was the intent of the amendment

Anyone who even does surface level research on this will quickly find out. That there were court cases when the people who wrote the law were still alive told you exactly what it meant and still there were some Judges that tried to make it mean what they wanted it to mean. Even the people in Congress who were not in favor of it knew what it meant. I'm not surprised conservatives/libertarians like Rand Paul have always tried to interpret the constitution as there own personal wish list. For the idiots who think this might be a good thing, because they don't like immigrants or minorities they better careful, because that could take us in a direction where the Government can strip citizenship from anyone they want. So they'll have to remain boot lickers for the rest of their days.
