Gestapo:

The Gestapo (short for Geheime Staatspolizei or Secret State Police) was the official, brutal secret police force of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945. Established by Hermann Göring, it was designed to identify and eliminate threats to the Nazi regime through surveillance, torture, and arbitrary detention, operating above the law and without judicial review.
