is there but did not show up in any of my searches and still won't show up in any searches I've done limiting Google search to Threads. Nor did that Feb. 6 post on Threads get mentioned in any news stories then, and there were apparently no references to it anywhere on social media until that image showed up on social media just a few days ago.

Please see my long reply 4 at https://www.democraticunderground.com/125630143 . It looks as though Google search is badly broken (and Bing and DuckDuckGo are worse). What I posted here earlier was because of search results, and I'd spent a long time searching. But the search results I got missed that February threads posts somehow, and with the lack of news stories about it and there being mentions in social media of it only the last few days - and none of those recent posts about it saying where it came from - it really did seem very much like a fake quote.

Again, I apologize. I'm still not sure how Google found recent posts quoting that 2/6 post but couldn't find the original...or how the media missed reporting it, and no one on social media mentioned it for more than two months.
