The Farmers Daughter, 1947 movie clip, (MAGA related) ... etc ... [View all]

Been exploring old movies lately, stumbled upon this one the other night. Had no idea how political and relevant to the present it was till after I saw it. The title gave me no clue! I was like a few times in the movie. Loretta Young won Best Actress that year for her performance. It also stared Ethel Barrymore, Joseph Cotton, Charles Bickford.

I would call it a "Political Romantic Comedy" It glanced upon racism, minimum wage, women's and human rights, free speech voting ... etc ... in a poetic story telling from back in the day. Nothing is really new under the sun and I just had to recommend it to DU tonight if you want to just 'check out' from today's headlines for awhile and yet stay related, connected ... and it's free to watch on Youtube. Check it out. Peace and Goodnight.
