(62,854 posts)Someone with real artistic talent - which that AI user probably doesn't have - could have done a picture like that if it was worth the bother. If a real artist had decided to do it, at least they'd have shown some real talent and effort.
That particular no-talent AI user on X - who has a link on his profile there asking people to give him money; he's using unethical tools trained on real artists' stolen work to try to make money with fake art - can't even spell faux pas. If you're going to point out a faux pas and use that French term, you should at least spell it right.
Trump has committed plenty of REAL faux pas around the royals, and there are real photos and video of those, and they're way more damning and effective as criticism of Trump than some wasteful AI slop image of something that didn't happen.
Anyone can get an AI model trained on all the images the AI company could steal to churn out AI slop in seconds. It just takes zero concern for harm done to real artists, the environment, etc. All this took was giving a photo to the AI and telling it to put Trump in a too-tight woman's suit, hat and heels. Wow. We could have thousands of AI slop images a day of Trump in women's clothing, if that's supposed to be clever or effective satire. Zero talent or thought or effort required. Imagine what DU would look like, if AI slop is considered worth applauding and the board fills up with it.
AI slop has really lowered the bar for what's supposed to be satire, and everyone with access to an AI image generator - which is pretty much everyone - can pretend to be some kind of artist or satirist. And if they don't have any ideas, they can just ask AI to give them ideas. I've seen so much online advice to AI-using fake creatives to ask AI to give them ideas as well as producing results based on those ideas. It keeps the flood of AI slop coming, and the companies and platforms peddling it are happy about that.
