It's going to be interesting seeing what happens with the AI addicts as the cost ratchets up and access is throttled.

There was a thread on r/ClaudeAI 5 days ago asking other Claude users if they'd pay $2,000 a month for Claude 4.7, the most powerful Claude model currently available to the public (since Mythos isn't)

I have no idea if whoever asked that has any connection to Anthropic or knows someone with some connection. But I haven't forgotten that when the idea of possibly charging individual OpenAI and Perplexity AI customers $1,000 a month got attention on social media about a year and a half ago, that idea had been floated by people at the top of those companies.
