Fresh off the giant tax cuts and huge government contracts, they are anticipating an American Empire taking all the oil so they can keep them profits coming. I've told all of you before I'm done. No donations to any 'cause' or candidate. I want healthcare, childcare, free college, clean air and water, sane energy and immigration policies, corporations NOT legally considered people, and no Citizens United. THAT is what I want from my fucking national government - for the thousands I pay in taxes each year to be used for programs that actually help me at my kitchen table.
Instead we have this shit show - a bunch of greedy little billionaire boyz taking everything we have so they can feel just a little bit more secure, feel just a little better about how great they are, and a congress whose majority is too fearful of not being reelected to act in the interests of the people.
And the right-wing propaganda apparatus is in FULL HUE and CRY driving wedges and keeping hatred fresh. The plan is to mess with the elections to stay in POWER, use AI to create a surveillance state, drive wage earners into fearful poverty and reinstitute the 'pure capitalism' of the Robber Baron era. This May Day strike, unfortunately, is only a dry run for when we will have to face longer-term deprivation after the Republicans CHEAT in the upcoming election which they are going to.
