...Trump got elected on the votes of a lot of republicans who were willing to look past his history in expectation the utopia he promised in his rallies would come to pass.

So much of that is now just fodder for Democratic opposition. Like, we don't know yet how many of them feel the same compulsion to reject their party. That's why it's good to push wedges like this one to divide and overtake them with political advocacy that includes their own expectations from government which have gone unfulfilled; like the Trump economy and ME wars. for example.

We should hope others in and outside of the party follow this fellow's lead and sit the next few elections out.
