Studies have shown anti-semitism always rises in times of war/conflict in IP, especially after major Israeli aggression. Nothing was worse than Gaza in recent memory but I imagine the Nakba caused a large uptick too. This is reality, an inescapable fact. Turns out that humans are swayed by extreme emotions to embrace their darker, more primitive side. A sense of having suffered a great injustice and great cruelty or victimization plays a large part. If you are tempted to think this is only an Arab/Muslim issue, no it's universal. Look at how this virus of hate and desire for revenge and collective punishment affected Israelis after October 7th. It's why Gaza happened the way it did and became a genocide.

Seems to me the only way to stop the rise of anti-semitism is to stop the acts of great injustice/cruelty/victimization that, according to evidence, provide the fuel for it. A worthy goal in its own right too.

It's why I raised the Rafah Paramedic massacre. Because I strongly believe what happened in Rafah is why those ambulances were destroyed and the Jewish community terrorized. Not to say "what did THEY expect" as you put it but to say yes, this is what happens and it will happen over and over because that is the reality of fallible human beings pushed to their limits - so stop pushing them!! Israelis too were pushed to their limits byon October 7th- and oddly enough, I did hear people actually say "what did they expect"...but I hope you see my point.
