This is corruption by Trump and his cronies at levels we've never seen before in our nation's history [View all]

...and with an impunity that's unmatched by any U.S. government faced with this much self-dealing, extortion, graft, and interference with justice (as it's unlikely there's ever been one this bad).

So let me get this straight. The previous administration criminally prosecuted Michael Flynn.

Michael Flynn pleaded GUILTY to the charges.

Then Trump 2.0 pardons Michael Flynn.

Flynn sues the previous administration for politically motivated prosecution.

...And the current Trump administration is settling the lawsuit with taxpayer dollars an UNDISCLOSED amount of $.

There needs to be a law against this kind of self-dealing. This is absolutely maddening.

NEW: DOJ has reached a financial settlement with Michael Flynn, the conservative activist and former Trump adviser who sought millions for what he alleged was a politically motivated prosecution. No $ details in court notice today, more to come

At the time of Flynn’s guilty plea the White House Attorney under Trump said that Flynn’s lies to the FBI mirrored the lies he told the Trump White House. There was speculation at the time that Flynn’s guilty plea was meant to protect other members of Trumps inner circle, the pardon added to that speculation, this payoff confirms it.

We're paying people because they were upset for being prosecuted for crimes they admitted to committing.
