1. stopping construction of new DCs here in the US

will do very little in the way of "halting AI development or deployment"

There are many other places on earth where one can build... not to mention that there is a coming 5X to 10X performance improvement in AI computers with only marginal increase in power usage.

Not saying that there shouldn't be a halt on new DC construction, but the reality is that AI will "advance" ( left unanswered is when will AI be "general AI" as opposed to generative AI and now agentic AI )

I.E. when will Mike, and AI, on it's own, wake up and say "Hello Man, my only friend" ( referring to a fictional character on the moon who's first name is Mannie ). "Can you tell me a joke?"
