bear with me for two stories.

1) My mom was born in Germany in 1933...in the mid forty's she came down with polio. She was one of the lucky ones. She survived, but the toes on her right foot were fused together..she felt weak for much of her life.

2) I was born in a German hospital in 1957. Sanitary conditions etc, still weren't what they should have been. I was infected with the 21 day measles as an infant. It gacve me encephalitis. I spent 6 months in the hospital. I was one of the very lucky ones. I did not die as most infants back then did when getting encephalitis. What it did was for all of my childhood, I was physically behind my peers. I was hyper active and uncoordinated. I could tie my shoes until I was 11 and couldn't ride a bike til I was 9. Finally about my late 20's I felt I had caught up with my peers. But it took almost 30 years. And still I have poor eyesight as a re4sult of that disease.

So YES!!!!!!! get vaccinated!!!
