Psychopaths are emotionally unavailable.
They don't understand, nor can they sincerely experience empathy, remorse, joy, and sadness.

Conviction and determination are the only overtly evident emotions available to them.

Everything else is fake.

To refer to him as an idiot as opposed to recognizing him for his psychopathy is an insult to the intellectually challenged among us. Who often times are benevolent sweet souls.
