His plans backfired immensely.

Now he has a target on him wherever he goes. This boondoggle pretty much guarantee's no nation will ever bother with Iran ever and if anything, gave them some legitimacy. No US President in the future will even touch this with a ten foot pole.

He assumed by wiping out the leadership the people would rise up. Obviously miscalculated. I've been saying it for a long time, the people there hate the USA and Israel more than their own government and it doesn't take a genius to understand that.

He also thought when push came to shove, we would put boots on the ground. Another miscalculation. There is no appetite for another Mid-East war and both parties feel that way. As it is, supplying Ukraine is like pulling teeth.

Repercussions of course, Iran is for certain to develop a nuke now if they didn't have one. And if they did, they will make more. And think about it, if they did have a few, they've shown great restraint in using it. And of course Israel is now more isolated on the world stage and Iran has garnered sympathy.

He's not going to show his face for awhile.
