the perceived weakness of some of our elected officeholders against Trump and his fascism---
I am very dissatisfied with some of them myself, for the same reason !!!

It's NOT because they disapprove of Democratic policies,
and it does NOT mean that they are going to vote for Republicans now---
and indeed are turning out in great numbers to vote against the GOP in special and off-year elections,
which has always been a predictive factor of the results in the next national election!

Republicans, on the other hand, are KNEE-JERK with their polling responses....
Most will never admit dissatisfaction with Trump or their party,
even though they may be lying to the pollsters about how they REALLY feel !!!

I think a lot of them will continue to support Trump and the Republican party in polls---
but they will be less likely to actually turn out and vote for Republican candidates
in a mid-term election--- especially those people who rightly feel BETRAYED by Trump!

However, elected Democrats have some work to do with the party base!
If the majority would just DO it, I think these polling numbers would shift dramatically---
and it would BOOST the turnout of party base voters even further!

Guess What Moderate Democratic Voters Aren’t Anymore? Moderate.
Two new polls suggest that moderate Democrats too want higher taxes on the rich and some measure of economic populism. Moderate isn’t what it was in 1992. https://newrepublic.com/article/207435/moderate-democratic-voters-economic-populism

(Even my life-long Republican best friend and Reagan fan has freely said,
"YES, the very rich should pay more in taxes!" and polling of the Republican base voters
agree with that opinion! The problem is with their elected politicians....)

True but I'm not talking about criticism. I'm talking about the repetition of Republican talking points by Democrats. Walleye Tuesday #16
