Showing Original Post only (View all)USA Sends Doomsday Plane E-6B Mercury to Middle East [View all]
https://militarnyi.com/en/news/usa-doomsday-plane-e-6b-mercury-middle-east/Legit? I think so..
The USA has deployed the E-6B Mercury airborne command post to the Middle East, often called the Doomsday plane.
Bankingnews reported about this on March 5, referencing OSINT analysts who monitor military aircraft movements.
The aircraft serves as a command center and facilitates communication with strategic nuclear submarines.
It is equipped with a system for transmitting launch codes for intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.
Additionally, due to its specialized communication systems, the E-6B Mercury can maintain command over nuclear forces even if the ground-based command infrastructure is destroyed.
The flight of such a specialized aircraft toward the Middle East became known on March 4.
In the event of nuclear escalation, the E-6B Mercury aircraft ensure that U.S. military forces can receive confirmed orders to launch nuclear missiles from submarines, silo-based launchers, and bombers.
The U.S. Navy received its first upgraded E-6B Mercury aircraft from Northrop Grumman in early June 2023.
The upgrade is aimed at improving the aircrafts internal equipment and communication systems.
The exact role of this American aircraft in the ongoing U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran is currently unknown.
Previously, media reports indicated that the U.S. plans to conduct a military operation against Iran for at least 100 days, potentially until September.
This suggests the seriousness and scale of the planned actions in the region.

If Trump doesn't start a nuclear war we can thank our lucky stars. It seems more likely than not to me.
