...like everything else.

First of all, he's never cared what a woman says about him. It is too easy for him to dismiss whatever she might say--even with receipts. When have receipts even actually mattered for him?

And Corey is far too much of a leech for power to ever go against him.

This is about HIS ego. It is face-saving for him to move her into this made-up position and quietly put her out to pasture (pun intended.)

At this point his ego is all that really matters IMO.

He knows that there is nothing he can do today that will really get him in trouble. The things he really worries about are all in the past. So unless she has video of that; it's all about him.....
