Yesterday

"half-STAFF" *cough!*

(Flags are only flown at "half-mast" on ships. Ships have masts. On land, flags are flown at "half-staff." Yeah, I know it's only a semantic difference, but it's one that bugs me, IDK why. Kinda like when people use "straight-jacket," which should be "strait-jacket"....There's nothing "straight' about a "strait-jacket". )
