3. "stabilimenti" can mean factories but it is more like "facilities"

The term for a traditional factory would be fabbrica.

So these are more like facilities, but Halliburton and KBR are of course oil companies - these facilities are located in and associated with the Basra oil fields.

I'll change the term in the OP to avoid confusion.
