In reply to the discussion: Sudden demolition project begun days after NM commission formed to investigate Zorro Ranch [View all]muriel_volestrangler
(105,906 posts)34. Huffines is the owner - I got confused by the OP wording too
Gaetz has a wingnut-welfare show at "One America News Network", and he interviewed Huffines, a former Texas State Senator.
Former Texas state Sen. Don Huffines (R), the owner of a New Mexico ranch previously owned by Jeffrey Epstein, said this week he plans on turning the property into a Christian retreat.
Huffines, who is also running for Texas comptroller, told former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) on his One America News Network show Tuesday that turning the ranch into a retreat is the main reason he bought the property. The property, which Huffines has renamed from Zorro Ranch to Rancho de San Rafael, was owned by Epstein for more than two decades until his death. It is located roughly 30 miles outside Santa Fe.

My first thought was "Gaetz, credibly accused of raping underage girls, bought Epstein's ranch????"
But now, it just seems like the set-up for a bad horror movie - "they thought they were going to a religious retreat. But the sins of the former owner would turn their stay into a nightmare ...".

Why not put up a big gross ballroom so they could literally dance on the girls' graves?

Don Huffines owns the ranch and his son Russell works at the White House

Sorry. I edited to clarify. It is Huffines. He talked about the demolition on Gaetz's podcast.

Yep, I'm convinced this was another quiet location for Epstein to traffic underage children

Yeah, I see that the owner was an interviewee of Gaetz, rather than Gaetz himself

Could they have a cease and desist order until it's investigated? Why the rush now?

No. You can either watch the video, or go find the information from a source that's more to your liking.

WHY didn't WE investigate the ranch when WE had the power to do so? Because pedophilia crosses all classes.
