Also, I'm convinced that automation at that scale would actually be good quality. It also raises the question of whether small businesses would get eaten alive by big ones? Why should some corporation buy a service from someone else when they can build it themselves cheaper? It would in theory drive the entire economy to a few large companies with no other real layers.

I don't think the timing is right if quality if factored in. 5-10 years from now, maybe.
