They’re here every day, and I spent my first-ever night in jail in October for honking my horn to warn people the guy in front of me was ICE, but we haven’t had gas or flashbangs or guys breaking down doors. They move around in 4-5 unmarked vehicles at a time, and interrogate/kidnap brown people. A lot of the time, if we find them and can draw enough attention to them, they leave.

That said, we’ve started seeing marked SUVs being delivered to the Island — 24 that we know of so far. We haven’t seen a single marked vehicle in action ever, and they can serve no practical purpose in snatching people. They can only be used for instigation and intimidation. We’re concerned we’re the next made-for-TV event. We’re investing in ballistic goggles (safety glasses are not rated to stop pepper balls), respirators, etc.
