People reacted to their ideology regarding women as property and to be dutiful to patriarchs and rigid laws as archaic. Women forced to behave in certain ways and not allowed to drive (Saudi Arabia), or to be stuffed under burkas, had no autonomy in their own lives.
How far we've fallen.
What's next? Killing female first-born babies?
