17. I think we can follow it back a little further than the actual voters in 2024....

The voters (and non-voters) of 2024 are the product of a decades-long multipronged effort--including, but not limited to:
- Making sure that money--especially corporate money--can influence elections
- Undermining education in order to more easily manipulate the population
- Attempting to expand religious influence over society
- Encouraging political polarization as a means of ensuring political ignorance
- Entrenching conservatives in the courts--especially the Supreme Court--to skew the system to the right.

This is not to let the voters off the hook in any way, but unless we understand and find ways to combat what has been a long-game effort on the part of "conservatives," we will never get to a place where we agree about the problems, debate the solutions, and choose the best candidate to accomplish the tasks.

Conservatives have poisoned society. The outcome of elections is a symptom of the effects of the poison.

We can only really remove the poison from our body politic by undoing those things they have used to make their witches brew.
