...paint of MAGA voters does not apply to the vast majority of them.

For one thing, most of them don't actually think their lot in life is bad. They scapegoat ethnic groups out of learned hate--not as an excuse for not having a bigger house or a nicer car. Most of them are doing better than their parents or grandparents did. Many truly think they have it made and don't aspire to be billionaires or blame anyone that they are not--and they teach their kids to think the same way. Working a trade is a point of pride--not a plan B.

Most of them aren't actually angry in their day-to-day life. The things we think they spend all of their time being pissed off about really aren't something they ever see. Sure, when pressed they will get passionate about boys in girls' sports or whatever, but it isn't something they actually see on a regular basis--if ever.

What most of them are is easily convinced that a party that isn't 100% anti-abortion and 100% pro-gun is the worst thing they could ever vote for. Nothing else really matters. That is all most of them see in Turnip.

Those are just the average MAGA voters. The true MAGA acolytes are something different: they are not ignorant; they are evil. They know exactly what they want--and they're getting it.
