8. The labor market is undergoing a massive disruption

I don’t think it’s in anyone’s favor to give false hope. It’s better for an employer to be honest upfront in making it clear they’re not sponsoring.

In a different labor market I would be more sympathetic to her, but right now I don’t think more competition is needed, especially if it means temporary workers possibly undercutting wages.
