Turns out it's known for the Spangler Candy Company and the original company that made Etch-A-Sketch. The Chamber of Commerce is marketing it as a tourist destination.

I would guess that powerful people in this town don't want homeless people or any of the "icky" people Jesus stood up for. I imagine that everybody on the town council identifies as Christian.
