In reply to the discussion: Costco balls [View all]RVN VET71
(3,105 posts)8. It's always crowded, but that's a good thing, isn't it?
Went there on a Sunday thinking they opened at 9:00. They opened at 10, but I got a great parking spot and waited until 10:00. (Reading to bide the time)(Murakami's IQ84, since you asked, a massive but absorbing and delightful book)
,Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah, at 10:00 I got out of my car and found myself at the end of an already long line of customers, walking towards the building in a kind of shuffle-foot zombie herd march. I was amazed at how quickly the line filled and extended. Because people love COSTCO. Because people depend on COSTCO. Because COSTCO is one of the few corporations in this shambles of a Country that gives a damn about quality, about its customers, and about its employees.

We have two Walmarts, Sam's Club and no Costco. Someone got some money for no Costco, possibly.
