September 1, 1939. With that, he started World War II in Europe. He got away with annexing the Sudetenland and Austria. He figured he was unstoppable, and except for Britain, he was right. His fatal mistake was the same as Napoleon’s: there is no nation that can conquer Russia with a land invasion from the west. June 1941 was the beginning of his downfall. It just took him too much time to realize it.

We probably could invade, conquer and occupy Venezuela. But do we want to commit a quarter of our whole military and lose a dozen or two thousand dead in the process? Is it worth THAT to satisfy Trump’s ego? We don’t even need to steal their oil. We produce a surplus as it is. How much longer are the Republicans in Congress going to go along with taking his mad rantings seriously? The fact that the crime and immigrants threatening the collapse of Chicago, NYC, D.C., Denver, Portland, OR, and Los Angeles have all turned out to be as real as WMD wasn’t indication enough?
