46. This whole thing about the fisherman clinging to the wreckage and being killed is pushing my buttons.

Yesterday

I have mentioned my USN uncle during Battle of Guadalcanal WWII was on a ship that was
sunk by Kamikaze pilots. USS Meredith.

Some of the sailors were killed right away, others clinging to wreckage and died that way,
eaten by sharks. Or killed by the enemy.

It has always bothered me that he might have been clinging to wreckage still alive.
And then suffered some more and killed the hard way.

I don't know why it has always bothered me. My brother reassures me Uncle was killed outright, right away.
Never got to the part where he was floating around in the water.

But he told me not to read the book written about all of it.

Now I keep seeing those poor fishermen in the water like my uncle.

I didn't even serve a day in combat and the orange F wad is giving me GD PTSD.

What the H is he doing to people who served in combat.
Raising all kinds of PTSD.
